When using a Campfire while riding a Moa, you will be teleported successfully to the portal you entered the Aether with in the Overworld, however you will be unable to interact with anything (the log throws warnings for the server being behind and trying to catch up, so it’s that type of lag).
Eventually when this stops, you are teleported to a random location away from the portal (about 32 chunks away, based on render distance and being able to see the portal from that distance). Going back into the Aether and trying to use the Campfire with a Moa again will teleport you to this same spot but without the period of lag.
Further testing with using the campfire while riding a pig did not yield the same teleportation bug, but it did reveal that the game thinks the player is at the place where they left the portal once exiting after using the campfire even if they move around, and this only seemed to be fixable by relogging.
Pictured is an attempted visual of this issue. I am attempting to throw eggs from my current position but they are being spawned from where my player would be on top of the glowstone outside the portal.
Can be fixed by PR #330.
