Only reason i noticed this was due to my shaders which emulate raindrops on your HUD. It is noticeably changeable with /weather clear and setting /weather rain. Clouds roll in, away, etc just as in minecraft's overworld

This does Not happen in the aether dimension, no cloud effects or emulated raindrops on the HUD

Shader was Slidur's Vibrant Shaders Extreme-Volumetric 1.17 with optifine-1.12.2_hd_u_d1

This appears to be a design issue with the shader mod, due to the fact that the raindrop effect also appears in vanilla biomes even if they lack rain.
